A woman was caught on CCTV stealing hundreds of Cadbury Creme Eggs in a brazen daylight theft.

Footage shared by Policing Peterborough on Thursday (2 April) shows Leah Harding leaving the Barn Garden Centre with two trays of the Easter sweet treat on 13 February.

She stole 64 boxes in total, with each box containing five eggs.

She later went to steal £300 worth of spirits from a different garden centre, before stealing alcohol and cheese on three occasions from a Co-op in Eye. She was arrested on 18 March.

Harding, 37, of no known address, was jailed on Friday (27 March) for 41 weeks after admitting to five counts of theft from a shop. She was also ordered to pay £882.26 in compensation.
