AgriScale – Accelerating Agritech Manufacturing Industrial Research

Funding of up to £5 million for UK‑registered businesses to close product technology gaps and accelerate progress towards commercial acceptance, scale‑up and manufacture.

This competition opens on 30 March 2026 and closes at 11am on 3 June 2026.

Who it is for

This competition is open to collaborations only.

To collaborate with the lead, your organisation must be one of the following UK-registered

  • business of any size
  • academic institution
  • charity
  • not-for-profit
  • public sector organisation
  • research and technology organisation (RTO)

Your project must

  • target getting products to market to accelerate end-user adoption
  • have total costs of between £250,000 and £750,000
  • last between six months and 12 months
  • start by 1 October 2026
  • end by 30 September 2027

Support you can get

This competition aims to support agritech innovators to improve product performance and reliability, and to start developing manufacturing and supply chain capability.

You can get funding for your eligible project costs of up to

  • 70% if you are a micro or small organisation
  • 60% if you are a medium-sized organisation
  • 50% if you are a large organisation

This competition is being run in parallel with a second competition AgriScale – Accelerating Agritech Manufacturing Experimental Development.
