Daily Mail Sport’s compelling journalism has been recognised by the prestigious Sports Journalism Awards – the media industry’s Oscars – with 15 nominations across digital, print and broadcast including Sports Publisher of the Year and Newspaper of the Year.
Multimedia reporter CHARLOTTE DALY has been acknowledged in both written and broadcast categories as last year’s On Air Ones to Watch winner is on the shortlist for Ones to Watch for writing as well as Content Creator and Content Creator Exclusive.
RIATH AL-SAMARRAI and CRAIG HOPE have been given nods in two categories, with the former on the shortlist for Columnist and Specialist Correspondent and the latter in the mix for Football Journalist and Scoop for breaking the news of Alexander Isak’s decision to strike to force through a move to Liverpool last summer.
Cricket Journalist LAWRENCE BOOTH, Data Journalist JAMES SHARPE and Rugby Correspondent NIK SIMON are all on the shortlist for their respective fields of expertise.
HEATHER DEWAR has been recognised for her work for the Scottish Daily Mail in the Regional Journalist category.

Daily Mail Sport’s diversification into the world of YouTube has been credited with two nominations, with Daily Mail Boxing in the running for YouTube Channel and YouTube Show – presented by Daly and produced by Head of Sport Originals Alex Biddle.
