  • Incredible price has been revealed in recent video on Instagram

Aussie tennis player Priscilla Hon has provided an insight into the ridiculous price of snacks at some US sporting events by trying a $142 hot dog at the Miami Open.

The 27-year-old has taken to social media to give fans a look at the ridiculously priced dog, which features Australian wagyu beef and a full tin of Golden Goat Caviar.

Known as the ‘Golden Glizzy’, the snack also contains edible gold flakes.

‘We’re here at Miami Open. This had better change my life,’ Hon said on Instagram.

‘This probably costs more than my first ever tennis racquet. Each bite is worth, like, $15.’

The average price of a hot dog at US sporting events is about $6, meaning fans could get roughly 24 of them for the price of one Golden Glizzy.

‘It’s actually insanely good. I was hoping I didn’t like it that much,’ Hon added.

The likeable Aussie has since claimed the item is a clear winner.

‘We (Priscilla and her friend Chloe) highly recommend, but I don’t think your bank account will love it,’ Hon said.

Despite enjoying the surprising food discovery, Hon’s trip to Miami wasn’t too successful on court.

She lost in the first round of qualifiers as she fell to No.10 seed Katie Volynets in three sets.

Hon is currently ranked No.137 in the world.
