Wolves have taken aim at Arsenal’s time-wasting tactics during their 2-2 draw at Molinuex, brutally mocking them with a series of cut-together clips on social media.

In a major twist in this season’s title race on Wednesday night, the Gunners threw away victory despite having a two-goal lead thanks to a dramatic 94th-minute strike from Tom Edozie that bounced off Riccardo Calafiori on its way in.

It is the second Premier League game in a row that Mikel Arteta’s men have drawn, meaning Manchester City will go within two points of the pacesetters should they beat Newcastle on Saturday.

Prior to the last-gasp equaliser from the teenage debutant, Arsenal were seemingly slowing down the game in a bid to secure an important victory in the title race.

Their tactics ultimately backfired, and the Wolves’ social media team have now poked fun at their failure to keep the Premier League basement boys at bay.

The club have posted an 80-second TikTok compilation of clips in which they deem Arsenal to be time-wasting, captioned ‘game management’.

Wolves have brutally mocked Arsenal’s time-wasting tactics during their 2-2 draw on Wednesday night

It starts with a clip of Gabriel Martinelli holding up a 2-1 scoreline to the Wolves crowd with his fingers, with the subtitles ‘confident are we?’ as the Gunners took their time with a late corner kick.

Then, following a series of clips which show the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes and Leandro Trossard staying down injured, the TikTok clip finishes with Edozie’s late equaliser and the ensuing celebrations.

There was bad blood between the two teams at the final whistle, as Arsenal’s frustration reached boiling point and spilled over.

No sooner had Paul Tierney blown his whistle to signal full-time of the enthralling draw had Mosquera gone down in a heap following a push from Gabriel Jesus, sparking a huge scuffle on the pitch between both sets of players.

Footage of the incident shows the enraged Arsenal striker approach the Colombian and barge into his chest.

Ex-Arsenal striker Alan Smith told Sky Sports that the incident showed how the Gunners had ‘lost their composure’ and looked ‘rattled’ as the title tussle with City starts to heat up.

The Gunners had looked comfortable in the tie after Bukayo Saka opened the scoring inside five minutes, before Piero Hincapie doubled their lead.

A win could have taken Arsenal seven points clear of City, but the first warning shot of the evening came through Hugo Bueno’s stunning goal in the 61st minute to halve the deficit.

And in astonishing fashion, Wolves scored a second when David Raya failed to catch a cross into his box despite Gabriel Magalhaes seemingly being in control of heading it away, with Edozie there to smash it in.

The draw leaves Arsenal five points clear of their closest rivals, City, who have a game in hand.
