  • Has gone viral for revealing the staggering cash he splashed for the big day

Australian Rich Lister Toby Dymond has emerged as the NFL superfan who stunned viewers after revealing he spent $150,000 to take his family to the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LX will be played on February 8, 2026 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, with the Seattle Seahawks facing the New England Patriots for the NFL’s ultimate prize.

The 52-year-old Penrite CEO was interviewed by NBC’s Matt Sottile., proudly dressed in New England Patriots colours, when he detailed the staggering cost of flying his family of five from Melbourne for the bucket-list trip.

‘Tickets cost a fortune, right,’ Dymond told Sottile.

‘So coming from Australia, I reckon I spent 150 thousand dollars.

‘There’s five of us. Tickets were eighty grand, eighty thousand Australian.’

Asked about their seats, he added: ‘We’re on level one, so it’s expensive.’

Flights were another major outlay.

‘That was $65,000. That’s business class but yeah.’

Despite the extraordinary sum, Dymond insisted it was money well spent.

‘It’s priceless. We’re here for the win and it’s going to be a lifetime memory for the kids. It’s going to be great.

‘First Super Bowl, so hopefully we win!’

Internet personality Johnny Tuivasa-Sheck, brother of New Zealand Warriors star Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, posted: ‘I was like ‘no way’ then my boy said ‘business class’ … I’m sorry I spoke good sir!’

The video was also liked by David Reynolds, who drove the Penrite Ford Mustang from 2021 until his departure at the end of 2023.

For Dymond, high-performance sport is nothing new.

As chief executive of Melbourne-founded oil giant Penrite, ranked No.191 on the 2025 Financial Review Rich List with an estimated fortune of $785million, he oversees one of Australia’s most recognisable motorsport backers.

Penrite is the title partner of Penrite Racing in the Repco Supercars Championship, with the brand emblazoned across the team’s Ford Mustangs.

Under Dymond’s leadership, the company recently extended its multi-year major partnership with Grove Racing as it approaches its 100-year anniversary in 2026.

The Seahawks enter the clash chasing their second championship in franchise history, while New England is looking to add another title to its decorated legacy.

Australian punter Michael Dickson will line up for Seattle, with the Sydneysider aiming to become just the second Australian to taste Super Bowl glory, after Philadelphia star Jordan Mailata.

Dickson, who was drafted in 2018 after transitioning from an AFL pathway, has become a key weapon in the Seahawks’ special teams unit.
