We are just days away from the official opening of the world’s first Bluey-themed rollercoaster, which is launching at Alton Towers on 28 March 2026. Bluey fans can experience the new ‘meet the grannies’ rollercoaster at CBeebies Land just in time for the Easter holidays. Designed with younger visitors in mind, the new ride is set to be one of the park’s biggest family attractions this year.

Since first airing in 2018 (and arriving in the UK in 2020), Bluey has taken the parenting and children’s TV world by storm. Known for its gentle humour, relatable family moments and life lessons woven into every episode, it’s one of those rare shows that works just as well for grown-ups as it does for preschoolers. As a mum of four- and six-year-olds, it’s a firm favourite in my house.

To get up to speed with the new Bluey ride, themed bedrooms at the CBeebies Land Hotel and the best ways to save on tickets and overnight stays, keep scrolling.

What to expect and how to save on tickets

Bluey fans can see their favourite characters (and their home) brought to life with a first-of-its-kind attraction landing in CBeebies Land at Alton Towers on 28 March 2026.

The new children’s rollercoaster invites families to join Bluey and Bingo on a playful adventure inspired by their much-loved grannies alter egos, Janet and Rita. Set in a colourful, garden-style setting – complete with an interactive queuing area – the experience is set to be gentle rather than thrilling, with smooth turns, small dips and plenty to look at along the way. It’s ideal for little ones ready to try their very first rollercoaster, while still being fun enough for parents to enjoy alongside them.

How to save on CBeebies Land tickets

The new ride is set to open at the start of the Easter holidays and I recommend pre-booking your tickets for the biggest discounts. Advanced tickets can save you up to 50 per cent, compared with paying on-the-door prices.

Parent and toddler passes are also a great option for those with kids who haven’t yet reached school age, meaning you can enjoy a day at the park mid-week for a fraction of the cost. Passes are £29 for both parent and child (under five), and additional under-fives can be added for just £5.

Families looking to experience the new Bluey ride can enhance their visit with a stay in the themed rooms at the CBeebies Land Hotel – perfect for super-fans.

Inspired by the world of Bluey, the rooms are designed to make little ones feel like they’ve stepped straight into Bluey and Bingo’s bedroom. Each room sleeps up to five guests and includes a dedicated children’s sleeping area with bunk beds, plus a separate adult space. TVs are available in both sections, so everyone can unwind after a busy day exploring the park.

You’ll also spot plenty of playful nods to Bluey’s family home throughout the room, from colourful decor to character touches featuring Bluey Heeler, Bingo Heeler, Bandit Heeler and Chilli Heeler.
