The fastest woman in the world, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, has once again showcased her blistering speed by taking on 100 men in a sprint race.
Jefferson-Wooden, 24, is fresh off winning three gold medals at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo last month, and is the dominant force in women’s sprinting in 2025.
She romped to gold in both the 200m and the 4x100m relay, but it was in the 100m final where she stunned the world of track and field, crossing the line in 10.61 sec, making her the fourth fastest female of all-time.
With Jefferson-Wooden’s stock higher than ever before, famous YouTuber MrBeast – whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson – selected her to be a part of his latest crazy challenge.
The internet personality put her up against 100 male college students in a sprint race across the width of two football pitches, with $100,000 (£75,000) being awarded to anybody who could beat the queen of the track.
But the North Carolina University students stood no chance, with the five-time world champion burning to victory while sporting football boots.

One competitor sporting the number 35, who is not a track athlete, got close at the line. However, Jefferson-Wooden had put on enough distance early in the race to get the job done.
The 27-minute video, which contains various challenges with sporting stars, already has over 50million views on YouTube within just two days of being posted to MrBeast’s 445m subscribers.
It was filmed just two weeks after Jefferson-Wooden’s glorious three-peat in Japan, as her fame continues to grow.
The sprinter is currently in the form of her life. Her efforts in the 100m and 200m at Tokyo both brought personal bests, marking somewhat of a career resurgence after an injury-ravaged 2024.
‘This year has been nothing short of a dream,’ she said after claiming the 100m crown last month. ‘I have been working so hard for this very moment to come out here.
‘I just focused on my execution, so to put together the perfect race at the right time just means so much to me.’
Jefferson-Wooden has taken a brief break from the track since the World Championships, seemingly filling the void with YouTube appearances and talk show chats, appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
She was due to race at Athlos last Friday, with $120,000 up for grabs if she raced to victory in both the 100m and 200m. However, she opted to pull out.

Jefferson-Wooden said: ‘After a lot of thought and consideration, my team and I have decided I won’t be competing at the ATHLOS Meet on October 10th. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one.’
The sprinter’s performances this season have many wondering how much she could achieve in the sport.
And when talking to CNN after the world championships, she admitted that she was not ‘satisfied’ with just three gold medals.
‘If you really lock in and dial in on the things that you want to achieve, but also put in the hard work as well on top of that, the sky’s the limit for you,’ she said last month.
‘There are so many things out there that I’ve accomplished this year, but there are so many more things that I want to accomplish.
‘Knowing that I left the World Championships very, very happy, but also, I’m not satisfied just means so much and gets me really, really excited for the years to come.’
