Leigh made it two wins out of two at the start of the Women’s Super League season with a 42-6 win over Warrington.

The Leopards won 42-10 against Barrow on their return to the top flight last week and maintained their 100% record with another dominant victory over the Wolves.

Mackenzie Taylor opened the scoring with her second try of the campaign after nine minutes before Abby Latchford powered over and Kate Howard added a solo effort to make it 16-0 after 23 minutes.

Emma Baggaley’s converted try stretched the lead further to 24-0 before Warrington got on the scoresheet through Danni Bound four minutes before half-time.

But Leigh’s dominance remained in the second 40 as Howard scored her second and Abi Johnston added another before last week’s hat-trick hero Hattie Dogus added the final try in the 56th minute.

Charlotte Melvin enjoyed an excellent day kicking seven out of seven from the tee.

Defeat for the Wolves means they have lost their opening two games of the campaign and are on a 10-match losing run stretching back into last season.
