A road was sealed off after a suspected World War Two explosive was brought into a police station.

Officers said a member of the public attended Wallasey Police Station at 14:40 GMT with what was thought could be unexploded ordnance.

Manor Road has been closed as a precaution while the device is examined.

The police station has not been closed and inquiries was continuing, the force said.
