Liverpool on the charge
Things are looking up again for Liverpool.
The champions have finally built a bit of momentum after what has, let’s be honest, been a pretty poor campaign for them.
Arne Slot’s side have now won five out of their last six games, with their only loss to Manchester City – a game in which they were only eight minutes away from winning.
They’ve won their last three Premier League matches on the spin, and are now only three points off the top four. Things are certainly on the up.
However, while this is a results business, this Liverpool side are still far from convincing.
Based on their form, you’d expect them to breeze past Wolves tonight, but if you have been watching them, you’d know that this is going to be an uncomfortable night at Molineux.
All that matters for now, though, are points. Liverpool need all three tonight to keep pace with Aston Villa and Manchester United.
Every game from now on is huge for the Reds.
