WNBA star Arike Ogunbowale was arrested in Miami and charged with battery after allegedly punching a security guard at a nightclub.
According to a police report, the incident happened at around 4:20am in the early hours of Thursday morning at the trendy nightclub E11EVEN.
The alleged victim claims he was trying to escort Ogunbowale away from the club due to an unrelated altercation when she punched him in the face and knocked him to the ground.
Ogunbowale was celebrating her Unrivaled team, Mist BC, winning the 3×3 tournament against Phantom – she scored 19 points in the 80-74 victory on Wednesday in Miami.
But a matter of hours later, she was having her mugshot taken before being released on $1,000 bond.
Fox Sports radio host Andy Slater was first to report the incident and said it was also caught on camera.
