Move over, Taylor and Travis! There’s a new sporting power couple in town.

WNBA rookie Sonia Citron and Dallas Cowboys star Marist Liufau went public with their romance on the NFL stage on Sunday.

Citron, who has just wrapped up an impressive rookie season with the Washington Mystics, played the role of cheerleader at the weekend when she supported her NFL beau from the sidelines.

The  21-year-old, who was selected by the Mystics with the third overall pick in this year’s draft, greeted the Dallas linebacker on the sidelines ahead of the Cowboys’ overtime thriller against the New York Giants.

The basketball player was seen sporting Liufau’s No 35 Dallas jersey and clutching a cowboy hat as she chatted to her boyfriend and his teammate.

Liufau, who is in his second year in the NFL, and the Cowboys went on to seal a dramatic 40-37 victory in overtime against the Giants.

The couple first crossed paths at the University of Notre Dame where they were both standout athletes.

Citron established herself as a key member of the Fighting Irish’s women’s basketball team, winning the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Rookie of the Year.

Liufau wrapped up a strong career with Notre Dame in 2023, finishing with 117 total tackles before joining the Cowboys as the 87th overall selection in the third round of the 2024 draft.

The linebacker was on hand to support his girlfriend at the WNBA Draft in April, hugging her right after her name was called.

While the couple never officially announced their relationship, it is believed that they have been dating for around three years.

The Cowboys extended their winning streak against their NFC East rivals, the Giants, to nine games – the longest active streak in the NFL among division opponents.

They clinched a 40-37 victory in a thrilling duel between star quarterbacks Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson on Sunday.

Prescott beat the Giants for the 14th consecutive time since losing both starts against them as a rookie in 2016.

Liufau (No 35) and the Cowboys sealed a dramatic overtime win over the Giants on Sunday

Overtime was on the verge of going scoreless after the teams combined for five go-ahead TDs in the final 12 minutes of the fourth quarter.

That included a go-ahead TD apiece for Prescott and Wilson in the final minute before Prescott got the Cowboys just far enough for Brandon Aubrey’s tying kick on the last play of regulation.

Wilson, who threw for 450 yards and three touchdowns, connected with Malik Nabors on a 48-yard TD for a 37-34 New York lead with 25 seconds remaining after Prescott threw a 6-yarder to George Pickens with 52 seconds to go.

The Giants just needed a field goal to win when Wilson threw an ill-advised deep ball with pressure, and Donovan Wilson intercepted at the Dallas 30 with 2 minutes left in OT. Prescott put Aubrey in chip-shot range with a 14-yard scramble with the kicker making the 46-yard effort to seal the win.
