British skier Gus Kenworthy has launched a graphic attack on US immigration officials by claiming to have urinated the words ‘f*** ice’ in the snow just days before competing at the Games.

The 34-year-old posted the image on his Instagram account with a call to his 1.2million followers to rally against the hugely-controversial US immigration agency, whose officers killed two American citizens during a crackdown in Minnesota.

Their presence in Italy as part of the US delegation’s security detail has already caused uproar locally, with Milan mayor describing the group as ‘a militia that kills’. Protests have sprung up across the past week and are also expected on Friday around the opening ceremony, which will be attended by US vice president JD Vance.

Kenworthy, who competes for Team GB in freestyle skiing and won Olympic silver for the US in 2014 and says he has been called a ‘traitor’ since, has now entered into the debate with his fiery picture.

It follows separate comments last week in which he said: ‘I just want to say, I’ve been waiting to say this in any interview, but just f***ICE so hard right now. F*** ICE.’

His latest comments included a template for US citizens to contact their senators to apply ‘pressure on them during the current DHS funding negotiations’.

Part of the ‘sample script’ he posted read: ‘Innocent people have been murdered, and enough is enough. We can’t wait around while ICE continues to operate with unchecked power in our communities. Senators still have leverage right now, and Senator [Name] must use it to demand real guardrails and accountability – including getting ICE and CBP out of our communities, ending blank-check funding for brutality, and establishing clear limits on warrantless arrests, profiling, and enforcement at sensitive locations like schools and hospitals.’

Kenworthy, who was born in the UK but based in Colorado, risked provoking the International Olympic Committee as the Olympic charter states: ‘No kind of demonstration or political, religious or racial propaganda is permitted in any Olympic sites.’

But an IOC statement to Daily Mail Sport has suggested he will face no action. It read: ‘During the Olympic Games, all participants have the opportunity to express their views as per the Athlete Expression Guidelines. The IOC does not regulate personal social media posts.’

Team GB bosses are unconcerned by Kenworthy’s posts, with sources indicating the picture was taken prior to his arrival in Italy.

Kenworth is no stranger to attention-grabbing moments. He says he has been dubbed a ‘traitor’ in the US after switching allegiances between the 2014 and 2018 Olympics.

‘I feel good about it,’ he said recently in an interview with People magazine. ‘I mean, I do feel like I’m American, but I also do feel like I’m British, and that’s where I was born and my mum’s British.

‘I’ve definitely gotten s*** where people are like, “You’re a traitor,” and I don’t think of it that way. I had this choice in 2014 to go for either country and at that time I was like, “Well, I live in the States. I wanna go for the States,” and I did and I won a medal and I represented the States at another Games after that.’

During the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic, after winning a silver medal days before Valentine’s Day, Kenworthy publicly declared Miley Cyrus was his ‘dream date’ and ‘celeb crush.’

At the very moment he was exchanging texts with the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer, Kenworthy, who has since come out as gay, was actually in a ‘secret relationship’ with a man.
