Still to come
The action doesn’t stop at Wimbledon and there are some superb matches still to come this evening.
Novak Djokovic is up next on Centre Court and gets his tournament underway with a first round clash against France’s Alexandre Muller before women’s French Open champion, Coco Gauff, plays Ukraine’s Dayana Yastremska.
For the British interest, Jack Draper is up last on Court 1 and plays Argentina’s Sebastian Baez.
Draper and Djokovic should be taking to court in the next hour or so.

Alexander Zverev a break down on Centre Court
Trouble for third seed Zverev.
In his first round match on Centre Court, suspended last night at one set all, the third seed is down a break in the third set to Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech, who leads 4-2.
Zverev usually struggles here at Wimbledon – will he be the latest seed to fall?

More British exits as Burrage and Loffhagen are beaten
Jodie Burrage is defeated! The Briton is seen off in straight sets by Caty McNally: 6-3, 6-1.
Burrage joins Heather Watson, Johannus Monday, and George Loffhagen in today’s band of beaten Britons.
Nowhere near yesterday’s record success for the home players, when seven advanced.

Potential Jack Draper foe falls at first hurdle
Well, then! Twenty-eighth men’s seed Alexander Bublik falls at the first hurdle!
He loses an arduous contest with Jaume Munar, suffering a five-set defeat: 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-7(5), 2-6.
That could have ramifications for Britain’s Draper, if the home favourite can get to round three; it’s there that Bublik was identified as a potential threat.
Some had even called him Bublik Enemy No 1, but no more…

More seeds fall in men’s draw!
Men’s 27th seed Denis Shapovalov is eliminated, suffering a four-set loss to Mariano Navone: 6-3, 4-6 ,1-6, 4-6.
And 30th seed Alex Michelsen is out, losing across five sets to Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic: 2-6, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3, 6-7(6).
A brutal way to exit, in a fifth-set tiebreak…

Taylor Fritz:
“It’s a really crazy match. I thought it was about to be all over last night in the fourth set tie-breaker, I’m super happy to get through it.
On match suspension: “It’s obviously not ideal, I felt if we weren’t going to have time to finish the fifth set. I obviously wanted to play it, but either way, I felt confident coming back either way.
On 153 mph serve: “The funny thing is i tell my coaches I should try and serve body, i think body serves are awful. I sent the video to my coach, right into my chest and I won the point.”
On expectations: “This is a huge week for me with the recent results on grass, I really didn’t want to go out in the first round!”
