A San Francisco 49ers star was bizarrely seen receiving a huge wad of cash just moments before his team’s crucial game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The 49ers and Seahawks met on Saturday for their final regular season game – with the winner taking the No. 1 seed in the NFC and home-field advantage in the playoffs.
However, prior to kick-off, fans were left bemused after footage showed 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne engaging in a bizarre sideline interaction.
A video which emerged on X showed Bourne in conversation with his wife, Vanessa, and another person, who handed the 49ers star the huge wad of cash.
Bourne gleefully accepted before embracing the man and then continuing his conversation with Vanessa on the sidelines.
As he continued the conversation, the wad of cash could be seen inside his helmet, which he held in his hand, before he eventually headed back to the locker room.

A zoomed-in shot of the cash showed that it was a stack of one dollar bills.
While some fans discussed the bizarre pre-game interaction, others discussed the potential mammoth payday that Bourne could be in for against the Seahawks.
The wide receiver needed just eight receptions against Seattle to earn a $500,000 incentive, and a further 49 receiving yards to haul in an extra $250,000 on top.
Just one week prior, Bourne went viral after hitting a separate $500,000 incentive in his contract – and expressing his relief at doing so due to his wife’s ‘expensive’ taste.
During NBC’s coverage of the NFL, Melissa Stark revealed that Bourne told her how ‘happy’ he was to land the bonus after the game, before revealing why.
Stark claimed Bourne said: ‘It was perfect timing, right before Christmas, because my wife Vanessa is expensive’.
Co-commentator Mike Tirico also noted that Bourne needed just 49 more yards to get a $250,000 bonus, so he can handle ‘the expenses he has at home’.
He then jokingly blurted out: ‘Does he not know this was on the record?!’

Back in February, the NFL WAG shared a picture of her brand new white Rolls-Royce Cullinan – which cost around $400,000.
NFL star Bourne posed alongside his wife in the pictures, with the caption reading, ‘thank you baby for a memorable valentines’.
The couple have also regularly shared pictures of their escapades in the recent months, often seen posing together in coastal vacation getaways.
The couple tied the knot back in March 2023 and have been together for four-and-a-half years in total. Together they have one daughter.
