Fans in the stands at a college basketball game got too physical with each other as a massive brawl ensued that saw many fans tumbling down the stairs.
During an Atlantic 10 Conference game between Saint Louis University and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) held at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, cameras caught fans falling down the aisles late into the game.
It’s unclear what led to the incident taking place, which person instigated the incident, or which teams all those involved were cheering for.
Early in the video, an older man who appeared to be wearing a Saint Louis sweatshirt was seen being shoved out of his seat and down the steps. Later video appeared to show that man had blood on his neck.
Security guards were seen rushing to the scene to try and separate people involved in the scuffle.
Some people watching wearing VCU gear were seen trying to help break the fight up which was taking place directly behind the VCU bench.

VCU coach Ryan Odom pulled his team away from the scene as more reinforcements rushed in.
Cameras cut away from the brawl, but returned to see a bald man wearing Saint Louis colors angrily confronting and shoving a man wearing a grey vest.
Eventually, the man wearing Saint Louis colors was removed from the area by security – but was seen pointing and screaming curses at other fans in the crowd.
DailyMail.com has reached out to Saint Louis’ athletics department for comment on the matter.
Per the Associated Press, the game was delayed for seven minutes as multiple fans involved in the altercation were escorted from the arena. There has not been any immediate word about potential arrests made in this confrontation.
Coach Josh Schertz and his Saint Louis team defeated VCU 78-69 in a result that could have major implications on the Atlantic 10 Conference title – and any potential bids for March Madness.
The Billikens of Saint Louis were led by guard Gibson Jimerson – who dropped 26 points, five rebounds, and two steals. VCU’s Phillip Russell and Zeb Jackson both led the team with 15 points.
Both teams sit half a game behind George Mason in the A-10 standings. The A-10 men’s basketball tournament takes place in Washington, DC from March 12-16.
