Free webinar on how the Windsor Framework applies to moving goods into Northern Ireland.

Invest NI is hosting a webinar on the Windsor Framework and how it could impact your business.

The Windsor Framework set out new rules for moving goods between Great Britain (England, Scotland, and Wales) and Northern Ireland. This agreement introduced a number of changes and new trusted trader schemes to ease the flow of goods primarily from Great Britain to Northern Ireland.

It’s important to understand how these changes impact on businesses in Northern Ireland and Great Britain and what is required to ensure compliance with the Windsor Framework.

The webinar will cover

  • An overview of the UK Internal Market Scheme (UKIMS) and the NI Retail Movement Scheme
  • How to determine whether goods moving into Northern Ireland from Great Britain or outside the EU are classified as ‘At Risk’ or ‘Not at Risk’
  • How to determine what tariffs apply to “At Risk” goods.
  • How to benefit from the use of the Customs Waiver Scheme and Duty Reimbursement Scheme

By ensuring you understand how the Windsor Framework applies to moving goods into Northern Ireland and taking the necessary steps for compliance, businesses in Northern Ireland can continue to trade confidently, and benefit from access to both the Great Britain and EU markets.

Webinar details

  • Date 10 September 2025
  • Time 10am – 12noon

The webinar will end with a Q&A session.

Presenter Jonathan Walsh, an International Trade & Strategic Management Professional with over twenty years of experience in International Trade. Jonathan specialises in helping businesses meet their trade obligations under the Windsor Framework.
