Wayne Rooney’s son Kai has revealed that he is out for the rest of the season in a heartbreaking post on Instagram.
The Manchester United youth star, 16, has enjoyed an impressive campaign so far at Old Trafford after making his debut for the U18s in January.
But Kai, who is the eldest son of Red Devils and England legend Wayne, is set for an extended period on the sidelines after picking up an injury.
‘Disappointed to be out for the rest of the season,’ the youngster posted on Thursday. ‘Back stronger next pre-season.’
Kai, who is eligible for a professional contract at Manchester United next season after earning his first scholarship, signed off his post with a a love heart emoji.
