The workman whose trailer Tiger Woods hit in his Jupiter Island DUI crash has hired his own lawyer in another potential blow for the golf legend.

Jeromy Bullard, who runs a pressure washer cleaning service in Florida, was slowing his vehicle to turn into a driveway last Friday, when Woods careened into the back of him, flipping his own SUV in the process.

While neither man was hurt, TMZ reports that Bullard has now hired his own personal injury attorney – Jason Fagnano – who has since filed a notice of appearance and invocation of rights in a Florida court.

The outlet reports that Fagnano specializes in auto, truck, motorcycle, bicycle and pedestrian accidents, and will represent Bullard in the criminal case as it proceeds.

While the hiring of a lawyer does not mean Bullard plans to sue Woods, it raises the possibility of further legal woe for Woods, who was arrested and already faces charges of DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test, as well as a citation for careless driving.

The incident occurred as Woods attempted to overtake Bullard’s truck and trailer on a quaint Jupiter Island street on Friday lunchtime, inadvertently clipping the rear of the pressure-washer and turning his Range Rover onto its side.

The crash, according to reports, caused $5,000 worth of damage to Bullard’s vehicle and equipment.

Woods was able to clamber out of the passenger side of the vehicle, but was arrested a short time later after flunking a field sobriety test.

In the time between his crash and arrest, the 15-time major champion took a phone call from President Trump, as revealed by remarkable police bodycam footage.

On Friday afternoon, it was revealed that Woods’ $50 million private jet had touched down in Zurich, Switzerland.

While it remains unclear whether the man himself was on board, Woods had previously obtained permission from a judge to travel outside of the US to attend a rehab facility, and Switzerland is said to have some of the most expensive and luxurious clinics in the world.

Woods’ attorney explained that privacy concerns was the primary reason for the golf star to want to travel outside of America to undergo treatment.

His potential arrival in Switzerland comes just hours after his girlfriend Vanessa Trump broke her silence on the arrest, posting a supportive message to Tiger on her Instagram account.

Alongside a photo of the pair sharing an embrace, she wrote – quite simply: ‘Love you’.

The Daily Mail understands that behind the scenes Vanessa, 48, has been pushing Woods to get the best care possible and that she won’t stand for another repeat of the troubles that have blighted Woods’ life away from sport.

Last week’s car crash was the fourth occasion Woods has been involved in an accident since 2009.

Can Tiger Woods recover from this latest setback – or has it damaged his career for good?

The first came when Woods drove into a fire hydrant outside his home, fleeing after ex-wife Elin Nordegren had discovered he had been cheating.

In 2017, police found him asleep at the wheel on the side of the road with the engine running. He was arrested then, too, for DUI with Woods blaming an ‘unexpected reaction’ to prescription medication for his condition. He later checked into rehab.

In 2021, he rolled his car at high speed in California so badly that he broke his right leg in multiple places and there were fears that he could have faced amputation.

Vanessa and Woods have been dating since around Thanksgiving 2024, with the Daily Mail exclusively revealing their relationship in March last year.
