Funding for UK businesses to collaborate with partners in the Netherlands to develop and commercialise quantum technologies.

The competition opens on Monday 15 September 2025 and closes at 11am on Tuesday 28 October 2025.

Who it is for

To lead a project, your organisation must

  • be a UK-registered business of any size
  • partner with a Netherlands-based business-led consortium

Your project must

  • request UK grant funding of £150k–£300k and Netherlands funding of no more than €300k
  • access a testbed provider (national lab, RTO or university) in the UK or the Netherlands to develop your quantum technology solution or application
  • be undertaken in the UK and the Netherlands. UK project partners must carry out the majority of their project work in the UK and intend to exploit the results from or in the UK.

Support you can get

The competition aims to strengthen UK–Netherlands research and development partnerships that accelerate the commercialisation of second-generation quantum technologies.

Innovate UK will support eligible project costs for UK-based partners as follows

  • up to 70% if you are a micro or small organisation
  • up to 60% if you are a medium-sized organisation
  • up to 50% if you are a large organisation

UK businesses can apply with a partner from the Netherlands through Innovate UK’s Innovation Funding Service.
