Celtic fans will be able to attend this month’s UEFA Champions League playoff second leg away to Bayern Munich.
It had been feared that UEFA may choose to issue a ban upon Celtic supporters after a smoke bomb was thrown on the pitch during their recent 4-2 defeat at Aston Villa.
The Scottish club had been fined earlier in the season after fans performed a pyrotechnics display during October’s 7-1 loss to Dortmund.
Celtic were warned that a repeat offence within two years could result in a one-match ban on travelling fans.
However, UEFA have instead decided only to punish the Hoops financially on this occasion, hitting the club with a €10,000 (£8,341) fine.
A statement issued on Friday confirmed the punishment and explained it was in response to the ‘lighting of fireworks’ and ‘throwing of objects’.

But Celtic fans will be allowed at their next UCL away game, at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena
After finishing 21st in the league phase, Celtic will host Bayern in Glasgow in the first leg of their playoff next Wednesday.
The second leg will then take place at the Allianz Arena six days later on February 18.
Bayern finished 12th in the league phase and missed out on a place in the top eight by just one point.
The winner of Celtic’s two-legged clash with Bayern will face either Bayer Leverkusen or Atletico Madrid in the round of 16.
