Former MLB star Hunter Pence is on the hunt for a buyer for his Malibu oceanfront mansion – and it won’t come cheap.

The San Francisco Giants legend, 42, is looking to part ways with the luxurious pad as he is drawn back to the Bay Area, where he won two World Series.

The former All-Star put his stunning Southern California property on the market earlier this week, listing the mid-century modern home for an eye-watering $39million.

Spanning 7,356 square feet, the mansion boasts five spacious bedrooms and seven bathrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows bathing the expansive spaces in natural light and offering breathtaking views.

The primary suite offers an unrivaled blend of comfort and luxury thanks to its spa-inspired bathroom and dream walk-in closet.

The extravagant property offers plenty of opportunity to unwind and soak in the SoCal lifestyle, fitted with a home gym, office and even a stylish lounge bar area with a media room.

Perfect for entertaining, a gourmet kitchen sits at the heart of the home, complete with a massive 18-foot marble island, top-of-the-line appliances and wine fridge.

Nestled on the beach side of the Pacific Coast Highway overlooking Malibu Cove Colony, the mansion offers unparalleled panoramic coastline views, which can be taken in from the property’s sweeping outdoor space.

The zero-edge infinity pool takes center stage amid the expansive outdoor entertainment space where the new owner can find a built-in barbecue/outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and walk-up indoor-outdoor bar catering to the premium coastal lifestyle.

Pence purchased the property in 2016, while playing for the Giants, and thoughtfully customized it as a family retreat.

Despite relinquishing his patch of Malibu serenity, the SFGiants broadcaster hopes whoever inherits it will enjoy it as much as he and his family have.

‘Malibu’s surf, energy, and the sense of peace drew me to this location,’ Pence added in a statement provided to Daily Mail Sport.

‘Building this home was all about creating a private retreat where my family could slow down, recharge, and enjoy everything this community has to offer. My hope is that whoever steps into it, makes their own unforgettable memories here.’

Viewing the decadent property, it is difficult to see why Pence would want to part way with it. However, it has been revealed that the former outfielder finds himself constantly pulled back to San Francisco, where he spent eight seasons of his career.

‘Since retiring from Major League Baseball in 2021, Hunter has focused on sports broadcasting, motivational speaking and community engagement,’ his representatives said.

‘As his role with the Giants continues to expand, he and his wife have become deeply rooted in San Francisco — serving as proud ambassadors for the city and dedicating their time to local initiatives. With their lives now centered in San Francisco, they’ve decided to part with their Malibu residence.’

Pence married Alexis Cozombolidis, a successful content creator and entrepreneur, in 2016 after proposing at Disney World a year earlier. They do not have any children.

The right fielder was drafted by the Houston Astros in 2004, making his major league debut with the team in 2007.

The four-time All-Star signed with the Giants in 2012 after a brief stint with the Philadelphia Phillies, and went on to win two World Series during his seven years in the Bay Area.
