Top intelligence officials, including Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and FBI Director Kash Patel, are set to testify Thursday before the House Intelligence Committee on national security threats as the war in Iran nears its three-week mark.

The hearing comes a day after Gabbard faced intense questioning in the Senate, and pointedly refused to say whether Iran posed an “imminent” nuclear threat to America — as President Donald Trump has previously suggested while trying to explain why the U.S. launched its war on Iran last month.

Both Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe were accused of avoiding answering questions on the action in Iran and to what extent Trump was aware of possible scenarios ahead of the first strikes on February 28.
