President Donald Trump says he is “filled with grief and anger” following the “heinous” assassination of Charlie Kirk on a Utah university campus.
Far-right political activist Kirk, who is a close ally of Trump, was fatally shot in the neck while on stage at a Utah Valley University speaking event on Wednesday (10 September), with a manhunt underway to locate the shooter.
In a video posted to Truth Social, Trump said: “Tonight, all who knew him and loved him are united in shock and horror. He’s a martyr for truth and freedom.”
