Several months before Travis Kelce got down on one knee to propose to girlfriend Taylor Swift, he may have given a blatant hint over when he’ll get married to the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer.
Swift and Kelce disrupted the internet on Tuesday by announcing their engagement on social media around 1 pm Eastern time. The proposal was revealed nine days before the Kansas City Chiefs open their 2025 season against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil.
Back in January, Kelce talked about NFL players getting engaged with his older brother, and retired league legend Jason Kelce.
The discussion pointed to next spring and summer for when wedding bells will ring for Kelce and Swift, due to NFL players being too busy from the end of July through February.
That was the case for fellow A-list couple, Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfield, with the Buffalo Bills quarterback walking down the aisle with his ‘Sinners’ actress wife in late May.
After nearly a year of speculation as to when Swift and Kelce will get engaged, the next round of guesses will be formed to when they will say, ‘I do!’

‘I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer,’ he told brother Jason during a January episode of ‘New Heights’.
‘You gotta be willing to find a weekend where the team isn’t playing anybody good maybe.
‘Also, if you really do have a problem with that, maybe it’s in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you’re invested in the anniversary every time it comes around.
‘I’ve seen weddings in f***ing February. I’ve seen weddings everywhere but the fall. So I’m not sure if the fall was a good wedding season.’
Speculation over an engagement swirled since Swift wrapped up her Eras Tour on December 8 and made appearances at Chiefs games.
Eagle-eyed Swifties claimed a ring had been edited out of a certain photo from an Eras Tour-themed party thrown by Kelce in Swift’s honor in December.
Kelce planning a wedding before February 9, when next year’s Super Bowl takes place, with hints that Swift could be the halftime-show performer, seems incredibly unlikely.
Kelce, 35, returned to the NFL for his 13th season after much speculation he would retire due to his blossoming mainstream profile, in large part due to his relationship with Swift.
