The restaurant claims it will feature ‘hyper-subtle nods’ to the two Chiefs stars and their on-field exploits.
That includes the name of the restaurant, with ‘1587’ being a nod to both Mahomes and Kelce’s playing numbers.
The space spans 10,000 square feet across two ‘elegant’ floors which include private dining rooms, a world-class kitchen, and a ‘jaw-dropping’ meat display.
Among the menu items shown in the video include wagyu beef, a chop salad, togarashi fried chicken, shrimp diablo, a smash burger made with Japanese A5 wagyu beef, and a steak flight that comes with a sampling of a wagyu filet, a Black Angus ribeye, and a Japanese New York strip steak.
The quarterback said in the video, ‘We wanted to bring something special for the city of Kansas City. Kansas City loves food. The city’s gonna love it.’
His tight end counterpart said, ‘What’s better than to break food with people over good food, good drinks, and a cool vibe?’
