Moyes had previously lamented the club’s inability to do deals for top players, buthe said: “We have to make several additions, we know that, even for the numbers.
“We have people in the squad where we’d maybe like to put them out on loan or do other things with them but I’ve been saying it from near enough the minute we finished against Newcastle that we have to get it done and I feel like we should be further down.
“But in the main, it looks as if we’re getting closer to things and hopefully a few things will come to fruition this week.
“If we didn’t, I’d have to be confident I can make something with what we’ve got and find a way around it and get results.
“It’s not that easy in the Premier League and you can see we need a lot. We’ve got a lot of things to do to get better.”
