Tottenham ‘among the teams closely monitoring Brentford’s in-form winger’ as Thomas Frank ‘pushes for reunion’

Tottenham are among the sides who are showing interest in one of the Premier League’s most exciting up and coming players ahead of the summer transfer window.

Spurs have enjoyed a positive start to the new season, sitting third in the Premier League table with four wins and two draws included in their seven matches so far.

It comes on the back of the sacking of Ange Postecoglou in the summer, after the Australian led the side to a disappointing 17th-place finish last season – but a Europa League trophy.

Still, Thomas Frank was chosen to replace the now-Nottingham Forest boss, and he has already splashed the cash after forking out well over £150million on new stars.

And, according to Sky Germany, that could continue next year, with Frank eyeing up one of his former players.

The report suggests Frank is looking to sign Kevin Schade, who is one of the stars of Brentford’s attack.

The 23-year-old German has played 82 times for Brentford, scoring 15 goals for the Bees after initially bursting onto the scene under Frank.

He has continued to flourish under Keith Andrews, but could be set for a major move soon if he keeps up his current form.

Frank was in charge of Brentford when Schade joined from Freiburg in 2021, and the player currently has a contract running until 2028.

Borussia Dortmund have also reportedly previously shown an interest in Schade, who is comfortable on the left wing or up front, and could offer him a route to return to his homeland.

Schade will next be in action for Brentford when the Bees visit West Ham on Monday October 20 after the international break.

Schade has been capped four times by Germany and has been with his country over the break for their matches against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland.
