Fox Sports analyst Greg Olsen will have to go back to the drawing board when it comes to the nickname of an NFL GM after fans decried his use of a racial slur.

Olsen and his broadcasting partner Joe Davis were on the call for a game between the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears on Sunday evening.

In the middle of the game, Olsen – who was demoted to the No. 2 broadcast team last season to make way for the arrival of Tom Brady – and Davis welcomed Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane into the booth.

At the time, Beane’s team was losing 28-0 at the half and Olsen tried to make the situation a bit more lighthearted.

In the process, Olsen tried to give Beane a nickname by attaching an ‘r’ to the end of his last name.

Whether or not Olsen knew it, he uttered a derogatory slur for Mexicans – doing so multiple times on the air.

Daily Mail Sport has contacted Fox Sports for comment on this matter.

Multiple NFL fans had stunned reactions to Olsen – with many second-guessing whether or not they heard him correctly.

Many fans shrugged it off as just banter while others found offense in Olsen’s use of the word.

Shockingly, this isn’t the only time that slur in particular was used over the weekend.

During a preseason game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Green Bay Packers, Colts analyst Rick Venturi used the same term for backup QB Jason Bean.

Much like Olsen, the internet was shocked at Venturi’s use of the word.
