- There has been speculation around a Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall fight for months
- Jones is the heavyweight champion while Aspinall holds the interim title
- The bout would undoubtedly be one of the UFC’s biggest draws of the year
Tom Aspinall is seemingly growing tired with speculation surrounding a potential super-fight with Jon Jones.
Aspinall has made no secret of the fact he wants to face the man many consider to be the greatest mixed martial artist of all time.
The Brit is the obvious challenger for the heavyweight champion, having won and defended the interim title.
Many felt Jones should have defended his belt against him last year when he instead faced Stipe Miocic in what was billed as a legacy fight.
Dana White has insisted that Aspinall vs Jones is fight to make this year and that the latter ‘definitely wants it’ but there is little evidence of serious progress in negotiations.
And Aspinall is getting increasingly frustrated with the wait and talking about the situation.
Tom Aspinall has said that he has had enough about talking a potential fight with Jon Jones

Jones holds the heavyweight title and is regarded as one of the greatest fighters of all time

Aspinall holds the interim strap and has been angling for a fight with Jones for some time
Speaking to JNMEDIA, he said: ‘I’ve had enough talking about it, mate. Honestly, I’m bored of it. We’ll see what happens, yeah, we will just see.
‘I’m ready to fight whenever they tell me. So, just let me know, and I will be there,’ Aspinall said.
White also said last week that it was now a matter of ‘working on when and where’ with regards to the potential bout.
The Sun’s Chisanga Malata claims Aspinall is set to sit down with the UFC this week to discuss his next fight.
Jones and Aspinall have traded shots for months on social media and in interviews and there is no doubt that it would now be one of the biggest fights in UFC history.
Aspinall, the younger and bigger man, has won eight of his nine UFC outings, finishing his opponent in all of those victories. His only defeat came by way of an unfortunate knee injury.
Jones is undefeated in his 17-year career, bar a highly controversial disqualification loss in his younger years.
