  • Here is everything you need to know about the contests

An action-packed night of boxing is in store in New York this weekend as the city prepares for a highly-anticipated triple-header of an event.

It will see some of boxing’s biggest names included all together – which is headlined by the return of Ryan Garcia after his year-long ban from the sport and will see him fight his online rival Rolly Romero.

That came after Garcia had beaten Devin Haney on a points decision, only for the fight to be declared a no-contest after Garcia subsequently failed a drugs test.

He was also deemed ineligible to take Haney’s WBC super-lightweight belt as he ruled to be missing weight.

So, when is Garcia vs Romero taking place, what TV channel is the event being shown on and who else will feature at the event?

Read on below for everything you need to know about the mouth-watering upcoming bouts in the Big Apple.

When is the Times Square fight?

The contest will take place on the evening of Friday May 2 and see three huge fights in stall in an event that was organised by The Ring magazine – which was bought by Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh for $10million in November last year.

An official start time for the event has not yet been given, which is also the case for ring-walk times for all three bouts.

However, Garcia vs Romero is expected to be the headline bout of the three.

Where to watch/follow?

Broadcaster DAZN has exclusive pay-per-view streaming rights for the Times Square triple-header.

A one-off pass to watch the bout costs £21.99 in the UK and $59.99 in the US – with the equivalent for other countries worldwide being $24.99.

A general subscription to DAZN starts from £14.99 a month depending on the plan customers opt for.

With Canelo Alvarez fighting William Scull on May 3 – boxing fans can purchase the Knockout Weekend Bundle from DAZN for £34.99 in the UK, $90 in the US, and €39.99 in Europe to watch both events.

The other fights will see Devin Haney fight Jose Ramirez and Teofimo Lopez take on Arnold Barboza Jr

While Garcia vs Romero is primed to be the last fight out of three bouts to feature – the other two fights on the card are notable for having high-profile names.

It will see Devin Haney – who remains unbeaten as a result of his loss to Garcia being voided – fight Jose Ramirez.

This has been billed as a potential precursor to a possible rematch between Haney and Garcia later in the year to begin Riyadh Season.

The other scheduled fight will see Teofimo Lopez take on Arnold Barboza Jr, in what will be the former’s first bout since a points decision victory over Steve Claggett last June

It will also be Barboza’s first fight since he celebrated a split victory over Jack Catterall in February.

Fight Odds

Garcia to win – 1/8

Romero to win – 5/1

Draw – 20/1

Haney to win – 1/10

Ramirez to win – 13/2

Draw – 18/1

Lopez to win – 2/5

Barboza Jr to win – 2/1

Odds correct at the time of publication per Sky Bet.
