Tiger Woods had hydrocodone pills in his pocket and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy when he was interviewed at the site of his car crash, according to a newly-released sheriff’s office report.

Woods, 50, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his Land Rover in Florida on Friday afternoon.

The golf icon spent eight hours in jail before being released on bond.

At the crash scene, Woods’ movements were slow and lethargic, and he was sweating as he talked to deputies, according to an incident report released from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies found two white pills, which were identified as the opioid hydrocodone used to treat pain, in his pocket, the report said.

When asked by a deputy if he took any prescription medications. Woods said, “I take a few.”

Woods told deputies he had been looking at his phone and fiddling with the radio before he clipped the truck in front of him, according to the report.

The crash took place on Jupiter Island, the town where 50-year-old Woods lives, just after 2pm local time.

Woods was assessed by Drug Recognition Experts on the scene and after it was determined that he was “impaired,” he was taken to the county jail for testing.

No one was injured in the crash though Sheriff John Budensiek said it “could’ve been a lot worse.”

Woods was charged with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test, offenses that are not felonies.

Woods refused to give a urine sample after passing a breathalyzer test, leading authorities to suspect he was under the influence of a “medication or drug” as he tried “not to incriminate himself,” Budensiek said.
