  • Intruders caught on camera at Martin Lang’s home
  • Unfolded this week at Burleigh on the Gold Coast
  • Ex-NRL star shared vision of would be thieves on X

The home of former NRL enforcer Martin Lang has been targeted by thieves on the Gold Coast.

Lang, 49, took to X to reveal vision of the men, who were carrying an axe and baseball bat.

‘Two men attempted to gain entry into our family home at 2.30am yesterday on the Gold Coast,’ the premiership-winner with the Panthers posted on Friday.

‘They were armed with an axe and a baseball bat. Hopefully they see the inside of a prison cell soon.’

Lang’s wife Dominique Loudon, a news presenter with Channel Nine, labelled the incident at Burleigh ‘really confronting’.

‘[We were] so creeped out and shocked to see these two men with their faces covered just creeping around the front of our house looking for a way to get in,’ Loudon said.

Lang’s wife Dominique Loudon, a news presenter with Channel Nine, labelled the incident at Burleigh ‘really confronting’

‘It was really confronting. ‘I was also thinking, I’m pregnant, I’m having a baby in a month.

‘If they came in, I don’t know how I would protect myself.’

According to Nine News Gold Coast, the pair broke into Loudon’s car before taking a remote control which opens the front gate of their house.

Lang retired from the NRL in 2004 after 176 appearances for Cronulla and Penrith.

He also played eight Origin games for Queensland.

The front-rower is now a neuroscientist, who specialises in contact sport-induced traumatic brain injury (concussion) phenotypes.

Daily Mail Australia contacted Queensland Police for comment.
