Lionesses star Chloe Kelly swapped football boots for high heels on Saturday evening as she wowed at the British Museum Ball.

The event, put on to highlight London’s status as a hub of global culture, saw a host of stars flock to the capital on Saturday night.

Maya Jama, Mick Jagger and Naomi Campbell all threw on their best outfits for the occasion, just as Arsenal winger Kelly did.

The 27-year-old, who starred during the Lionesses’ Euros win last summer, attended the event just days before joining up with her England team-mates on Monday morning.

And her look for the evening didn’t disappoint, with Kelly wowing in an eye-catching pink dress which she posed in for photos posted on her Instagram.

She captioned the slew of snaps: ‘We like to glam up’

However it was back to the day job this morning for Kelly, who was pictured training at St. George’s Park in the English rain.

Kelly’s been included in a Lionesses squad – the first named since their historic Euros victory – which will take on Brazil and Australia this week in two international friendlies.

The winger wrote her name in English football history with her performances in last summer’s tournament, making a huge impact off the bench in several matches.

She scored the winner in extra time of her side’s semi-final against Italy before slotting home the decisive penalty in the shoot-out victory over Spain in the final.

Following the Lionesses’ victory, Sir Keir Starmer even hinted that Kelly and co could be in line to receive official honours.

Only last month, the Prime Minister assured ‘recognition is coming’ for the two-time champions who he says have inspired a nation.

He added that they personified England’s greatest values – decency, fairness and respect following the team’s success in Switzerland last week.

England’s Dutch manager Sarina Wiegman is too likely to be in the running for recognition when the New Year’s Eve Honours List comes around.

Sir Keir told The Sun: ‘What Sarina and our Lionesses have achieved is nothing short of remarkable.

‘So recognition is coming – and it will be worthy of their historic success.’

Kelly made her loan switch to Arsenal a permanent one from Manchester City following the Euros.

She joined the Gunners in January of this year after a difficult period in Manchester during which she’d fallen out of favour.

Speaking after her move was confirmed at the start of July, Kelly had said: ‘I’ve always said that Arsenal supporters are the best and to have them on my side, singing my name, means so much to me.

‘I’m excited for more silverware at this special club and to bring more trophies back to north London to celebrate with our supporters.’
