The Lottery Winners have announced plans to play their biggest UK show in their native Greater Manchester.

The four-piece indie pop band from Leigh will headline the 12,000 capacity Leigh Sports Village Stadium on 30 May 2026.

They will be joined on stage by special guests they have previously collaborated with, and who have appeared on their albums, including Frank Turner and Reverend & The Makers, with support from Scouting for Girls.

Lottery Winners frontman Thom Rylance said it “isn’t just another show for us – it’s a marker of everything we’ve worked for”.

He added: “From loading gear into pubs to travelling the world, every step has led here.

“To headline a stadium at home is rare, and we don’t take that lightly.

“This night will stand as proof of what’s possible when you keep on keeping on.”

The band, completed by Robert Lally, Katie Lloyd and Joe Singleton, have been working tirelessly since they formed in 2008.

They signed their first record deal with Sire Records in 2016 after boss Seymour Stein called them “the best band since The Smiths”.

They released their first album, Modern Sky, in 2020.

The Lottery Winners’ buoyant indie pop songs and engaging online presence – frontman Rylance is widely regarded as one of the funniest and most likeable figures in the music industry – helped them build a dedicated fanbase and receive a personal invite to tour with Robbie Williams.

They have achieved two number one albums in the UK – Anxiety Replacement Therapy in 2023, followed earlier this year by KOKO.

The Lottery Winners will be only the third act to headline the stadium i Leigh, following Elton John in 2014 and Lionel Richie in 2018.
