Nick Kyrgios was filmed arguing with security staff and launching into a wild spray at the Prime Minister outside a Melbourne nightclub early on Sunday morning after allegedly being asked to leave the premises.

In exclusive footage obtained by the Daily Mail, the Australian tennis star was seen speaking with staff and friends outside the Circus Bar on Commercial Road in South Yarra at 7am – after what looked like a big night out.

The 30-year-old appeared to try to re-enter the bar, and at one stage bizarrely stepped down on one knee in front of the entrance.

Kyrgios – who would deliver a repeat performance by going out the following night in the CBD – also seemingly launched into a bizarre rant about Anthony Albanese.

At one point in the clip, Kyrgios was overheard appearing to say: ‘Albanese, f*** him.’

One member of his group was seen trying to lead Kyrgios away from the entrance of the bar and calm down the 2022 Wimbledon finalist.

‘Alright, Nick, c’mon, let’s go,’ the man could be heard saying.

The individual also appeared to tell Kyrgios, ‘Nick, shut the f*** up,’ after he started to rant about the Australian PM.

The pair then walked away from the entrance to the nightclub, but it appeared that Kyrgios was keen to go back in.

Kyrgios appeared to argue with staff members outside the front of the venue, before he and his friend stepped away.

Circus Bar is open from 10pm to 8am on Saturday nights, per the venue’s website.

‘Let’s get out of here,’ Kyrgios’ friend said as he pulled the athlete to one side.

One person leaving the nightclub was also overheard saying: ‘They’ve just kicked Nick out.’

Kyrgios and his friend were then seen talking while standing on the footpath as the other man attempted to cool the athlete down.

The man was seen holding Kyrgios’ face and grabbing his arms as he tried to convince him to get into a taxi.

Despite his plea, Kyrgios walked back to the side of the bar’s entrance and was seen speaking to a member of staff alongside his friend.

Daily Mail has contacted Kyrgios’ representatives and Circus Bar for comment. There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by Kyrgios.

The footage was recorded after the Aussie and his mixed doubles partner, Canadian star Leylah Fernandez, won their match on Friday, and Kyrgios was evidently in a celebratory mood.

They went on to lose to American James Tracy and Anna Danilina from Kazakhstan in the second round of the event on Monday.

Meanwhile, footage of Kyrgios partying in another Melbourne nightclub on Sunday night into Monday morning has also been doing the rounds online.

The vision shows him dancing at Bar Bambi in the CBD in the early hours of Monday – before his mixed doubles match – with the clip captioned: ‘Tennis? What tennis? Nick Kyrgios life of the party.’

Kyrgios was also asked to leave that bar, according to the Herald Sun.

Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis had put on a hugely entertaining show last Thursday during their doubles clash against fellow Australians Jason Kubler and Marc Polmans.

The pair had posed for a photo on Instagram on Saturday evening – alongside Elliot Loney – a comedian best known for his TikTok impressions of Abbie Chatfield’s boyfriend – which Kyrgios published on his Instagram with the caption: ‘La Familia.’

Kyrgios and Kokkinakis have both been hampered by injuries over the last three years and were heartbreakingly forced to withdraw during their opening-round doubles match at the 2025 Australian Open, after Kokkinakis sustained a pectoral injury.

Kokkinakis has spent a year out of the game after undergoing surgery to have a cadaver’s Achilles tendon grafted to his pectoral muscle and his shoulder.

He fought through pain during Thursday’s match as he and Kyrgios battled against Kubler and Polmans. After going a set down, the Special Ks bounced back gallantly to take the match to a third set.

While they would ultimately suffer defeat, it was a hugely entertaining performance from Kyrgios and Kokkinakis, who joked with their opponents and fans inside the raucous 5,000-capacity Kia Arena.

Kokkinakis, who had received medical attention throughout the match, later stated that he would be taking some time out of the game to let his shoulder injury heal. He added he was ‘pretty disappointed’ by the injury.

Kyrgios, meanwhile, fumed at several decisions from the umpire during the final set.

First, an umpire had called a let on one of Kokkinakis’ serves. However, the ball appeared to clear the net.

The Special Ks were not allowed to challenge the call.

Another contentious decision then went against the duo. Kubler claimed that Kokkinakis had struck a ball before it had crossed the net. His challenge was successful.

‘How can you review a ball that’s been hit over the net, but you can’t review a serve over the net? It doesn’t make any f***ing sense,’ Kyrgios said afterwards.

‘That’s why I’m pissed off.

‘We’re playing for millions of dollars, we’ve been both injured, both trying to get to this stage, and then some of these rules are just so, so, so dumb.’

Kyrgios and Kokkinakis would ultimately go on to lose 4-6, 6-4, 6-7(4-10), but were hailed by their opponents, Kubler and Polmans after the match.

‘When you play those two, you’re in for an experience,’ Kubler said.

Polmans added: ‘It was very cool to share the court with Thanasi and Nick. It’s good to see them back on court. It was awesome to share the court there tonight.’

Away from the tennis court, Kyrgios was also spotted out for dinner with his new love interest, marketing manager Alexia Alessi, last week.

He was seen wrapping his arm around Alessi following his split from social media influencer Costeen Hatzi last year.

Hatzi was also seen at Melbourne Park over the weekend and posed for photos at the Grey Goose courtside bar.

Kyrgios has endured a tough few years on tour due to a spate of injuries.

The Aussie, who turned down a wildcard entry to the Australian Open men’s singles event, enjoyed a standout season in 2022.

However, at the end of that year, Kyrgios suffered a serious knee injury and would later require surgery on the issue.

It meant that he would miss the 2023 Australian Open.

Kyrgios had also admitted that he had begun to feel some pain in his wrist at the start of 2023. He would later travel to Mallorca for a warm-weather training camp, in which he had suffered a wrist ligament injury. The Aussie revealed that he had struck a forehand and his ‘wrist just collapsed completely’.

Scans showed that he had suffered a full rupture of the scapholunate ligament. It would ultimately mean that Kyrgios was only able to play one match in two years, with the Australian returning to play on the ATP Tour at the Brisbane International in December 2024, before also featuring at the Australian Open.

Despite his injury woes, Kyrgios was building up nicely in recent months. He took on Aryna Sabalenka in their Battle of the Sexes match over the festive period before reaching the second-round of the men’s doubles at the Brisbane International with Kokkinakis earlier in January.

‘I feel good and I’ll try and use it as a building block,’ he said following his defeat by Aleksandar Kovacevic at the Brisbane International.

‘Not just for the Australian Open, but this year, for whatever this year holds, I want to continue to play as much as I can.’

He would go on to make a heartbreaking admission that he had felt like he had been dragged down by his injury woes.

‘I genuinely thought I was the best player in the world,’ he said of his 2022 run.

‘After you have those surgeries, I guess they pull you down and you don’t have that belief anymore. It’s sad in a way.

‘That’s just the reality. People out there think you go under the knife, come back and you’re the same player.

‘It’s not how it is. That’s just sport; you can’t get too upset and that’s why you’ve got to be grateful for moments like that doubles match the other night.’
