Tennis legend Serena Williams sends message to critics over her body transformation

Serena Williams has responded to both the criticism and kudos she has received about the openness of her body transformation years after her legendary tennis career ended.

Williams, 43, has dropped more than 40 pounds since the birth of her youngest daughter, Adira River Ohanian, in 2023.

Williams has shared snaps from the gym and in her swimwear across her social media to display the work she’s done to maintain a chiseled figure.

Now, outside a hotel in New York City, Williams’ thoughts on what people have to say about her transformation have become known.

‘Everyone looks great,’ Williams said while smiling, per TMZ.

‘Look good, feel good, right?’ the tennis legend said before walking away.

Williams played her final competitive match at the US Open in 2022, retiring with more than $94million in on-court winnings, the most in WTA history.

Serena more than doubles the money won from older sister Venus Williams, who is second on that list at $42.6million.

Venus is still actively participating in tournaments, falling in the Round of 16 at last month’s Citi Open in Washington DC at age 45.

Before exiting the tournament, Venus became the second-oldest woman to win a tour-level singles match, only behind Martina Navratilova, who did so at 47.

The Williams sisters have no doubt owned tennis for the better part of the last three decades, and they march to the beat of their own drums too.
