Tennessee Titans ‘make EVERY player available for a trade except two’ after firing head coach Brian Callahan

The Tennessee Titans are looking to conduct a sensational midseason overhaul amid their hunt for a new head coach.

They fired Brian Callahan on Monday with the team 1-5 after a miserable loss to the Las Vegas Raiders last weekend. The result followed what defensive lineman Jeffrey Simmons said was ‘probably one of our worst weeks of practice’.

Now, according to a report on Saturday in The Athletic, the organization is open to trading any player on its roster aside from Simmons and its quarterback, Cam Ward.

The Titans took Ward with the first pick in the NFL Draft earlier this year and the way things are going, they are destined for another high pick in the first round in 2026.

And whoever the organization’s head coach is, he looks set to be armed with plenty of future picks if the Titans end up being as busy as they want to be before the Nov. 4 trade deadline.

In the meantime, Mike McCoy is preparing the team for Sunday’s game at home against the New England Patriots, who are led by Callahan’s predecessor Mike Vrabel.

Speaking after Sunday’s Raiders lost, the tipping point for Callahan, Simmons said: ‘Today was bad football. We didn’t play good today at all.

‘In this league, you have to learn how to be able to stack wins and carry that momentum over. 

‘It started at practice. Just being honest, this was probably one of our worst weeks of practice. We came out flat Thursday. Sometimes things carry over.

‘When you get in this league, you have to prove it every week and re-prove it. You’ve got to go out there and keep proving yourself that you can win in this league. We didn’t do that in all three phases.’
