Friends and family members of two teenagers killed along with two other people in an early hours car crash have paid heartfelt tributes to them.

Fundraising appeals have also been set up by the loved ones of 18-year-old Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar and Muhammad Danyaal Asghar Ali, 19. They died alongside their 18-year-old friend Farhan Patel in the crash in Bolton on Sunday. Masrob Ali, a 54-year-old taxi driver from Blackburn, was also killed.

Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar was described as “full of dreams and aspirations” and having “a beautiful smile”.

The loss of Muhammad Danyaal Asghar Ali was described by one mourner as “deeply painful” and that the teenager would “never be forgotten”.

A funeral service for all three teenagers took place earlier at Zakariyya Jaame Masjid Mosque in Bolton.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) continues to investigate the cause of the two-vehicle, head-on crash.

Five passengers from both vehicles remain in hospital for treatment, including a 29-year-old woman who has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, the force said.

A spokesperson said officers were “working with the families and offering specialist support”.

As part of the crash investigation, police are examining a video reportedly posted on Instagram less than 24 hours before the fatal collision.

In the footage, believed to have been filmed at 03:00 GMT on Saturday, the driver appears to overtaking other cars in a residential area, reaching speeds of more than 120mph (193km/h).
