An event for Northern Ireland’s tech community

A major technology conference, TechTides, is set to take place in Belfast for the first time on 11 June 2026 at ICC Belfast.

The event builds on the success of its inaugural 2025 conference in Derry~Londonderry, which attracted over 600 attendees. Organisers say the Belfast event marks the first step in a wider plan to deliver a series of regional TechTides events across the island of Ireland.

The conference will offer a full-day programme of

  • keynote addresses
  • panel discussions
  • a startup pitch competition and showcase
  • dedicated networking for students, founders, investors and industry leaders

Artificial intelligence (AI) will be a central theme throughout the programme. Sessions will explore its real-world impact across sectors such as fintech, education and emerging technologies, as well as the practical challenges of building and scaling startups.

TechTides was founded by Alastair Cameron, co-founder of Startacus, with the aim of strengthening connections across regional tech ecosystems. The event is backed by a broad range of supporting organisations, including Invest Northern Ireland, InterTradeIreland, Belfast City Council, Queen’s University Belfast, Ulster University, Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and others
