Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews has revealed why she will not be returning for the network’s coverage of the MLB playoffs.
Andrews has been with Fox Sports since 2012, and has covered five Super Bowls, two World Series and other huge sporting events during her time with the network.
However, during the latest episode of her ‘Calm Down’ podcast, Andrews revealed that she will no longer be taking part in their coverage of the MLB playoffs.
Explaining the decision, Andrews said: ‘I found that coming in at the end of the year after, you know, covering football and then jumping [in], I felt like I was doing a disservice to people that were watching at home.
‘I felt like there were other people that had covered it all throughout the year that knew the ins and outs.’
While she may not be ever present in the MLB dugouts, Andrews has become a mainstay on the NFL sidelines during her time with the network.

She recently opened up about her excitement over the new NFL season – with Tom Brady joining for his second year with the team, after signing a 10-year contract.
Speaking on Brady, she said: ‘He walked into our broadcast booth, never having done it before. I was so proud of him because he didn’t need to do this.
‘He didn’t need the fame, he didn’t need the money, he didn’t need any of it. But he loves the game that much.
‘He wanted to be a part of this. I thought he got better and he got better fast. I thought his improvement was amazing.
‘If you throw yourself out there, people are able to put their opinions online,’ Andrews explained. ‘It’s like, ‘OK, you go do it. You try to do this.’
Meanwhile, Andrews – and her podcast co-host and fellow NFL sideline reporter Charissa Thompson – previously sent the internet into a meltdown after vacationing with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
Lifting the lid on their vacation, Thompson said: ‘ I will say this: she’s everything that I’d ever hoped and dreamed that she could’ve been and more.

Andrews chimed in and said: ‘We’re so protective of them and their privacy and what they deserve, so that’s why we never said anything or planned on saying anything.
‘That’s one of my favorite photos from the trip that we all took together. And I’ll echo it! She’s a 20 out of 20. She is so much fun.
‘We love them, we are happy for them and we are happy to report back that, yes, the long awaited meeting did happen and it exceeded expectations because she is as advertised and a whole lot more’.
