Storm Éowyn was one of the most powerful storms to hit Scotland in a decade, with windspeeds exceeding 100mph in some places.
Edinburgh’s tallest tree – a 166-year-old Himalayan cedar – was one of thousands that fell victim to the devastating gusts across the country.
Staff at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, where the cedar tree stood, have been working to recover from the storm and repair damage to their glasshouses and plant collections.
