Businesses tackle rising cyber risks with stronger security measures
The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) has published the results of wave four of the Cyber Security Longitudinal Survey, which tracks the cyber security behaviours of UK organisations.
The survey reveals that 79% of medium and large businesses, as well as high-income charities, reported experiencing a cyber incident in the past 12 months.
Despite these challenges, the survey shows an improving industry response. More organisations are adopting cyber security accreditations, and nearly half of large businesses have increased their cyber security budgets over the past year to better protect their systems.
The findings highlight that businesses are recognising the growing threat and taking steps to enhance their cyber resilience.
