The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland has launched a survey to understand falling charity income

The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland has analysed charity data from December 2013 to July 2025 and identified a key trend more than 1,000 charities reported a drop in income during 2024–25 compared with the previous year.

To understand the reasons behind this decline, the Commission is inviting charities to complete a short survey. The survey takes around five minutes and will help build a clearer picture of the financial pressures affecting the sector. Insights gathered will support future planning, guidance and regulatory activity.

Charities are encouraged to take part and share their experiences.
