However, the shaky start to the season has left some fans concerned and, as a result, they have began pleading with DeBoer to make one dramatic change on game day.
Superstitious fans have noted that when DeBoer is wearing his black hoodie on sidelines, he has a 9-1 record with the Tide.
However, when he is not wearing his hoodie, DeBoer and the Tide have a 1-4 record.
It’s worth noting that in their opening day defeat, the head coach rocked a red collared shirt. Whereas, for their recent win, he was back in the black hoodie.

The bizarre record goes as far to show that, last season, Alabama went undefeated during the regular season when DeBoer wore the hoodie.
It was only in the bowl game against Michigan when he tasted defeat for the first time while wearing the black hoodie.
Ironically, DeBoer initially came under fire from Alabama fans for wearing the hoodie, with many seeing it as too informal for his role.
After a four-loss debut season in 2024 DeBoer has opened Year 2 with more questions about whether he’s the right man for one of the most high-pressure jobs in college football.
DeBoer now holds a 10–5 record through 15 games, with three defeats in his last four outings.
