The personal chef accusing Stefon Diggs of assault has broken her silence after the NFL star pleaded not guilty to the charges against him on Friday.
Mila Adams, who alleges that Diggs slapped and attempted to choke her during a dispute over pay back in December, said in a statement that she would ‘never make false claims for personal gain or to damage someone’s reputation.’
Diggs is facing charges of felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery over the alleged incident. He appeared in court Friday to enter his not-guilty plea, just days after playing in the Super Bowl.
Following the arraignment, Mitchell Schuster, who is part of the New England Patriots wide receiver’s legal team, told reporters: ‘We’re confident that after the facts and evidence are reviewed in this case, he will be completely exonerated.’
Previously, Diggs’ now-former lawyers said they were trying to resolve the case through a financial settlement with his chef.
‘I am speaking now to address false information that has been shared publicly,’ Adams wrote in her statement on Friday, via TMZ. ‘I am a professional chef with over 10 years of experience working with public figures and in the sports industry, my reputation and integrity matter deeply to me.

Mila Adams alleges she has never been involved in settlement discussions with Diggs’ team
‘Claims that I engaged in settlement discussions are not true. I have never sought money nor engaged in settlement discussions to settle this matter, Statements suggesting otherwise are harmful and untrue.
‘As a survivor of domestic violence, I take these matters extremely serious and would never make false claims for personal gain or to damage someone’s reputation.’
Adams continued by pointing out that she reported the allegations ‘through the ‘proper legal channels’ rather than seeking public attention and will ‘continue to respect the legal process.’
‘I will not engage in rumors, personal attacks, or respond to misinformation on social media, and I ask others to refrain from spreading false narratives,’ she added.
‘My focus is on healing, my work, and moving forward with integrity. I trust the legal process to address the facts, and I hope anyone following this matter will do the same.’
Daily Mail has reached out to Schuster and Diggs’ agents for comment.
Dedham police accused Diggs of striking and choking the woman who worked as his personal chef over the first months of his debut season with the Patriots. The alleged incident is said to have taken place during a financial disagreement.
According to the incident report provided to the Daily Mail, Adams said he entered her unlocked bedroom, grabbed her from behind and ‘tried to choke her using the crook of his elbow around her neck’.
Diggs pleaded not guilty to allegedly assaulting his chef in a court appearance on Friday
She told police on December 16 she feared she ‘could have blacked out,’ before being thrown down onto the bed by Diggs. The accuser initially hesitated to identify him to police ‘due to his fame,’ according to the incident report.
Diggs, who played in New England’s miserable Super Bowl defeat against the Seattle Seahawks last weekend, has also been named in an unrelated defamation lawsuit stemming from a 2024 incident in Florida since the assault allegations were made public.
The plaintiff, a former business partner, claims he falsely accused him of stealing a Ferrari. The accuser claims he was attacked at a night club in 2025 over those false allegations.
As if the Super Bowl, assault charges and lawsuit weren’t enough, Diggs is also at the center of fierce speculation over his relationship with rapper Cardi B.
Reports have surfaced claiming the couple has split following the birth of their first child, a boy. Curiously, they recently unfollowed each other on social media to fuel the rumors.
Stefon and Cardi only began dating in early 2025, going public with their relationship in May, before welcoming a baby together six months later.
