Minnesota Vikings receiver Jordan Addison has cut a plea deal with prosecutors in his DUI case and has been sentenced to probation, according to reports.

Addison’s drunk-driving trial got underway this week, with the former USC star accused of operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol level great than 0.08-percent.

Police say they found Addison asleep behind the wheel of a Rolls Royce near Los Angeles International Airport on July 12, 2024.

He had been facing a fine or the potential loss his license if he had been convicted on the misdemeanor charge.

However, according to TMZ, Addison’s attorneys issued a no contest plea to a lesser charge of reckless driving upon a highway, on behalf of the Vikings star.

In exchange, the judge has ordered the 23-year-old to 12 months of probation, pay a $390 fine and complete a three month alcohol education course.

Addison’s agent Tim Younger said: ‘Today, after careful consideration of the charges against him and all defenses, Jordan Addison decided to plead to a lesser included vehicular offense, commonly referred to as a ‘wet reckless’.

‘As a result, Mr. Addison will pay a standard fine and complete two online courses after which we expect that his probation will be terminated early in six months.’

‘Over the past year, he voluntarily participated in MADD events and programs and, after reflection, decided to enter this plea understanding the ramifications of this decision.

‘He has kept the organization apprised throughout these legal proceedings, and will continue in his full commitment to being a valuable member of his team.’

Speaking at a training camp last season, Addison was seemingly prepared to face the consequences of his actions.

‘Whatever’s out there for me, whatever comes with it, I’ll own up to everything. I feel like anything that comes my way is meant to happen or is deserved.’

Addison is being counted on to draw defenders away from his All-Pro teammate, wide receiver Justin Jefferson, as Vikings second-year quarterback JJ McCarthy moves into a starting role this season.

Minnesota’s offense ranked ninth in points and 12th in yards last season with Sam Darnold under center, but he has since signed in Seattle, leaving McCarthy to shoulder the load with the Vikings in 2025.

Addison began his college career at Pittsburgh, where he won the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top receiver before transferring to USC.

Over two NFL seasons, he has recorded an impressive 133 catches on 207 targets for 1,786 yards and 19 touchdowns.

To bolster their depth chat at the position, the Vikings added 5-foot-7 slot receiver Rondale Moore and rookie third-round pick Tai Felton, who is coming off a 1,124-yard season at Maryland.

Minnesota opens its season September 8 against the rival Chicago Bears in Minneapolis.
