Funding for capital works projects to either purchase new assets or support the refurbishment of existing assets.

This scheme closes at midday on Friday 6 February 2026.

Who it is for

Groups/projects must

  • be a community or voluntary organisation (not for personal profit)
  • have 90% of beneficiaries in Council area
  • have provided evidence of security of tenure (for capital works projects) and evidence of potential costs (all projects)

Support you can get

The Small Capital Project Fund is often used to fund things such as

  • items of equipment (eg computers, kitchen, sports or play equipment)
  • small-scale refurbishment within existing buildings
  • professional advice as part of a larger project (eg surveyor costs)
  • improving energy efficiency (eg replacing windows or heating system)

Funding up to £3,750 (max rate 75%). This means groups must contribute 25% of the funding required.
