Sky have announced yet another landmark golf partnership, with the broadcaster and Augusta National Golf Club agreeing a multi-year deal for Sky Sports and NOW to remain the exclusive home of The Masters in the UK and Ireland.

The London-based network has seen its golf coverage grow exponentially in the past year, with Sky recently putting pen to paper on a new multi-year deal to show the 2027 and 2029 editions of The Ryder Cup.

Last week, the broadcaster also announced that it will remain the home of the Ladies European Tour (LET), extending that partnership with the tour into its 30th year.

There were scenes of relief, elation and ecstasy at Augusta National in April, as Rory McIlroy ended his agonising 11-year wait to complete the Career Grand Slam and finally claim his first Green Jacket.

It was the most-watched day in the broadcaster’s history, with a whopping 1.85million viewers tuning in to Sky Sports to see Newcastle beat Manchester United 4-1, Liverpool seal a 2-1 win against West Ham, Birmingham beat Peterborough in the EFL trophy final and Oscar Piastri claim victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Of course, the day culminated in McIlroy’s epic triumph at Augusta, with Sky commanding 37 per cent of the total TV viewership.

‘We’re delighted to extend our long-standing partnership with the Masters Tournament and Augusta National Golf Club, further cementing Sky Sports as the home of golf in the UK and Ireland,’ Sky Chief Sports Officer, Jonathan Licht said.

‘Rory McIlroy’s win in April was a standout moment in 2025 and we look forward to bringing fans even more unmissable drama from Augusta National in the years ahead.’

The 2026 Masters will be shown live on Sky Sports Golf and NOW between April 6 and 12. And fans will be treated to at least 20 per cent more live coverage compared to previous tournaments.

Sky are set to host more featured groups, live feeds from Amen Corner and its exclusive and insightful Live On The Range coverage, which was seen at The Open at Royal Portrush earlier this year.

The broadcaster will show the Masters Par 3 Contest and the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, which will be held between April 1 and 4.

Sky have also introduced several innovations to their coverage this year, with golf’s first Spidercam being debuted at 2025 Open Championship, as well as a new 3D Augmented Reality technology, used in Live at The Range segments, as well as its new moving golf simulators.

Rory McIlroy will return to action next year at the Dubai Invitational on January 15, before teeing off at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
